Decision of Environment Minister on the approval of appendix to the geological documentation of the Oczkowice lignite deposit

Contents of the report:
Zespół Elektrowni "Pątnów-Adamów-Konin" S.A. (hereinafter referred to as the Issuer) informs that, on 18 December 2014, it gained the information about rendering, on 17 December 2014, by the Environment Minister, the decision on the approval of Appendix No. 1 to the geological documentation of the Oczkowice lignite deposit. The decision was issued as a result of the examination of the application submitted by the PAK Górnictwo Sp. z o.o. company, which is a subsidiary of the Issuer.
Appendix No. 1 to the geological documentation of the Oczkowice brown coal deposit was developed by PAK Górnictwo Sp. z o.o., in connection with determination of the current lignite resources, based on geological works executed under the license of 11 May 2011 for exploration and identification of lignite deposit in the region of "Poniec-Krobia" and "Oczkowice", located in the cities and municipalities, Miejsca Górka and Krobia, in Wielkopolska Province.
Appendix No. 1 is an amendment to the existing geological documentation of the Oczkowice lignite deposit.
In accordance with Appendix No. 1 the state of geological resources of lignite in the Oczkowice deposit, set on 31 December 2013, identified in accordance with the requirements of the C1 and C2 categories (as defined in the Regulation of the Environment Minister of 22 December 2011 on the geological documentation of a mineral deposit), is the total of about one billion tons.
The PAK Górnictwo Sp. z o.o. company, on the basis of the approved and updated geological documentation of the Oczkowice lignite deposit, will develop technical and economic assumptions for the execution of the profitability analysis of use of the deposit. Depending on the results of these works, it will be decided on the submission of an application for a license to extract minerals from the deposit and on the development of new generation assets in its vicinity.
