Information on obtaining a derogation from the emission limit values for Pątnów and Konin power plants

Contents of the report:
Zespół Elektrowni Pątnów-Adamów-Konin SA („Company”), informs that on 2 October 2020 the Coompany received a decision on the adaptation of the integrated permit for the operation of the Fuel Combustion Installation at Pątnów Power Plant and Konin Power Plant to the requirements of the BAT conclusions, granting derogations from the emission limits specified in the Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2017/1442 of 31 July 2017 laying down conclusions on best available techniques (BAT) for large combustion plants, in accordance with Directive 2010/75 / EU of the European Parliament and of the Council. Derogation with regard to mercury and sulphur dioxide emissions to air for units 1, 2 and 5 at Pątnów Power Plant until December 31, 2030 and with respect to mercury emissions to air for two boilers at Konin Power Plant until December 31, 2022. The authority made the decision immediately enforceable.
