Information on intention of project development in Adamów power plant

Contents of the report:
Zespół Elektrowni Pątnów-Adamów-Konin SA („Company”) informs about the intention to adapt currently excluded coal units in Adamów power plant for production of electricity using gas fuel.
The scope of necessary works required to perform in order to carry out the project includes in four fields:
1. obtaining the necessary administration permissions
2. execution of gas connection
3. adaptation of boilers appropriate for gas instead of lignite
4. repair and measuring works
The expected capacity of power plant after adaptation for gas fuel is 500MW. The expected amount of expenditures will amount to tens of millions of zlotys. The Company intends to carry out the project till the end of first quarter of 2019.
Making a decision on carry out the project the Company took into consideration a number of factors, the most important are short time of its implementation and estimated low expenditures. In the Company's opinion this project is well suited in strategy of providing power reserves in periods of peak demand. Additional premise is the location of Adamów power plant in National Power System and close source of gas.
At the same time, the company states that the implementation of the project is conditional on obtaining a number of administrative and formal-legal consents as well as the consent of the Company's Supervisory Board.
