The contract for co-financing the bus factory has been signed
The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management will support the project of building a factory of innovative hydrogen buses in Świdnik. The contract for co-financing the investment from national funds collected under the "New Energy" program was signed on December 22, 2022 by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management and PAK-PCE Polski Autobus Wodorowy sp. z o.o. It is a preferential loan agreement up to PLN 50 million, which will be used for the construction of a production plant and the introduction and assembly of accompanying infrastructure, as well as a hydrogen refueling station - which will allow to organize the entire production.
Innovative buses are a special modular and ergonomic structure of the skeleton, enabling the improvement of range parameters, the installation of effective hydrogen tanks, very low fuel consumption and an efficient air-conditioning system that will reduce the system's demand for electricity, and thus the overall energy consumption of the bus.
The construction of a production plant for innovative buses powered by hydrogen fuel cells, together with the accompanying infrastructure, was launched in mid-2022, and the current progress of the investment is estimated at approximately 30%. The investment is located in Economic Activity Zone in Świdnik and will be able to produce up to 100 buses a year.
