ESG Leaders 2022 – gold award for Polish Hydrogen Bus
The "ESG Leaders 2022" competition is organized by the Warsaw Stock Exchange, NN Investment Partners TFI and PwC Polska. "ESG Leader" is a title awarded to companies and institutions that have and implement a distinctive ESG strategy, offer innovative products and services supporting environmental protection or sustainable social development, and conduct effective information and promotion campaigns in the area of sustainable development. In 2022, the second edition was held, in which 75 entities and 16 natural persons applied for the title of ESG Leader. The jury of the competition awarded the leaders of sustainable development in the categories of educational program, innovation and ESG strategy and awarded the title of the Visionary of the Green Transformation.
According to Krzysztof Szułdrzyński, a partner at PwC, in the latest global PwC survey among investors, 83 percent. of them stated that the absolute priority for companies is innovation, and from the point of view of the competition, innovations in the area of sustainable development are the most important. Entities that took part in the competition can be an inspiration for others and serve as an example of good practices in the area of ESG. Among the 27 entities that competed for the title of the ESG Leader in the innovation category, there was also the Polish hydrogen bus NesoBus, for which the jury awarded PAK-PCE company Polski Autobus Wodorowy sp. z o.o. the gold award.
On December 8, 2022, a ceremonial gala of awarding prizes to the distinguished companies was held.
